Can you find a 3D heart on this picture?

I became a big fan of Magic Eye! Do you know Magic Eye?
I think most of you, Kendai students saw the Magic Eye pictures on The Daily Yomiuri's 3rd page. If you don't know about it you should try on this page!

Try this! Can you find a 3D heart on this picture? (How to see 3D)

Did you see a 3D heart? If you did, how about trying more magic eye pictures?

Advent Calendar

Mr.Manning has an Advent Calender!

Children open one door each day from 1st December to Christmas. When we open the door of this calender we can get a chocolate. If you have a chance to visit his office, how about ask him this calender? You'll get a chocolate!?!?

My favorite ice cream

They are my favorite ice creams which are sold at Jomon Ice (縄文アイス) in Mukaihara, a town in the northern part of Hiroshima. This ice cream shop is famous for its unique ice cream which is called "Jomon". (They also have many flavors of ice cream. Green tea, Roasted green tea, Mango, Strawberry... )

Wild rice is in the "Jomon ice cream". The rice is crunchy and so delicious. "Jomon" is the most popular flavor in this shop.

You can buy them on Internet!!

Christmas in Monterey

I got pictures from my host father "Frank" who lives in Monterey California. Can you see the picture of the Christmas tree? It's almost same as tall as the ceiling and it has a lovely Hello Kitty's ornament! I think his daughter bought the Hello Kitty because she like this character so much.:) They'll celebrate Christmas with exchange students from foreign countries! They had a Christmas party with about 10 Chinese students at his home last year. They sung Christmas songs and had dinner. He showed me the pictures and videos when I stayed at his house in my summer vacation. I wanted to go the Christmas party but the cross cultural program in Kendai is in summer... But my host father sent me a Christmas presents-purse, pouch, chocolate and Christmas ornament! I always remember him and his family when I see something which they gave me. I want to go back to Monterey so much!!!

20th Birthday

I turned 20 years old 3 days ago! I was tired and I fell asleep at the moment I became 20. Some of my friends sent me e-mails at 0:00 but I didn’t notice… At lunch time, my teacher and friends celebrated my 20th birthday at cafeteria. We, Prof. K’s seminar always celebrate the students’ birthday so it was my turn. After school, my family came to my dorm and I went to a Sushi restaurant with my family. My brother came back to Japan and we had birthday party together. The dishes were so delicious and I ate too much… The owner gave me cakes after dinner. They were also good. I’m so happy but I don’t want to age anymore! :P Haha!

Christmas Party

We’re planning to hold a Christmas party in International dorm on 17th December. It’s the first time to hold a Christmas party with exchange students! We had a party in May in this year and we made many kinds of food then. Korean students made Korean food and Chinese students made Chinese food. So we’ll make many kinds of traditional food again. In my group, there are 5 Chinese students so we’ll make Chinese food. We’ll also exchange Christmas presents. I can hardly wait to hold the party!

I went to a mountain in Hiroshima to take beautiful pictures last Saturday.

Tsuwano

We went to Tsuwano as seminor trip on Wednesday. It was the first time for me to go to Tsuwano. When I got to Tsuwano, I was really surprised to see the beautiful scenery. Leaves are turn red and yellow and there were many carps belong the Tonomachi street. We had only 4 hours to see the sight of Tsuwano so we couldn't go to many placese. My group went to an Italian restaurant, a catholic church and Mitsumasa An'no Art Museum. The Italian restaurant's dishes were really delicious and the church was beautiful. We can go into the church for free so if you want to go to Tsuwano, you should go there!^^ The art museum had many beautiful pictures and the pictures of Chinderella were so lovely. There were more places to see in Tsuwano so I want to go there again.

Cafe Suzuran

I went to Cafe Suzuran in Miyoshi City, Hiroshima with my mother and friend. It's passed about one month since I went back my hometown last time. So I was really happy to see my family and childhood friend. My friend who I met today passed entrance exam of an university so we congratulated her on her passing the exam! We had lunch and dessert there. The dishes were really delicious! If you have a chance to go to Miyoshi, why don't you go to Cafe Suzuran?

Yasaka

I went to Yasaka with my friends to make curry rice for Charity Futsal Tournament. There were about 50 players so we made curry rice for 40 people. We used 1.6kg chicken and 3kg rice!! The rececooker which we used was really big. (I wanted to take a picture but I forgot to bring my camera...) I was so happy because everyone said us that the curry rice was delicious. :) After futsal tournament we went to a house of Mr. Manning's friend. Behind of the house there were two yuzu trees and we picked some of them to take a hot bath scented with yuzu. The smell is really good! :D

Skype

Last night, I talked with my best friend who lives in my hometown for 5 hours on Skype. If I talked for 5 hours on cellphone (softbank) , it would cost about 12,600yen... But I talked for free! I think Skype is a great service. When I call my host family in Monterey California, I often use Skype and web-cam because it's free and easy to understand what my host family says. It's still difficult for me to talk in English on the phone but it's easy to understand to speak with gesture. That's why I often use web-cam to talk with English speaker on Skype. If you use Skype, why don't use web-cam?
